Cloudflare introduces tsrs, a Rust port of TypeScript
Cloudflare announced tsrs, a port of the TypeScript compiler to Rust, in collaboration with others. The announcement states it is up to 8x faster and uses 70% less memory than TypeScript.

Why it matters
Builders using TypeScript may see faster compile and type-check times and lower memory use if tsrs is adopted in their toolchain. Performance claims come from the announcing source and have not been independently verified here.
Who should care
TypeScript developers, build and CI engineers, teams with large TypeScript codebases
What you can do
Read the Cloudflare post for benchmark details and compatibility notes, then test tsrs on a representative project to compare build times before adopting it.
