Meta Superintelligence Labs shipped Muse Code in beta on August 5, 2026 — a terminal-based coding agent that plans, implements, and validates multi-file changes across large repositories using persistent sub-agents. OpenAI cuts GPT-5.6 API prices by up to 80%

OpenAI lowered API pricing on its two cheaper GPT-5.6 tiers on July 30, 2026: Luna dropped from $1/$6 to $0.20/$1.20 per million input/output tokens (an 80% cut), and Terra dropped from $2.50/$15 to $2/$12 (a 20% cut). The flagship Sol tier stayed at $5/$30. The new rates apply automatically to standard API usage, no code changes required.

Framer's AI agent now runs on Claude Opus 5, published July 28, 2026. In Framer's own testing, Opus 5 completed a navigation-building benchmark task 1.5 minutes faster than Opus 4.8 and used about 12% fewer steps creating fully interactive, responsive navigation from scratch.

Anthropic launches Claude Opus 5

Anthropic released Claude Opus 5, priced the same as its predecessor Opus 4.8 at $5 per million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens, available today via Claude Max, Claude Pro, and the API as claude-opus-5. It adds a low/medium/high effort toggle to balance cost against capability, plus an optional fast mode at 2x the base price that runs roughly 2.5x faster.
