Vercel Token Pass credit now applies automatically across AI Gateway
Vercel updated Token Pass so that its credit applies automatically to included model usage in AI Gateway, for requests authenticated with an API key, OIDC token, or login, without requiring a dedicated Token Pass key. When Token Pass credit runs out for the billing period, standard keys and OIDC tokens fall back to the team's AI Gateway credits, while Token Pass keys stop until the next billing period.
Why it matters
Builders using standard API keys or OIDC tokens can now continue model requests after Token Pass credit is exhausted, billed to AI Gateway credits. Requests served through the Token Pass provider remain Zero Data Retention, and fallback requests follow the team's ZDR setting, so teams with team-wide ZDR enabled route fallback traffic only to ZDR providers.
