GitHub improves detection of withdrawn Dependabot alerts
GitHub announced changes that make it easier to detect Dependabot alerts that have been withdrawn. Dependabot withdraws and removes an alert when the advisory or vulnerability that produced it is no longer valid, and the update adds two changes to help users identify these withdrawals.

Why it matters
Teams relying on Dependabot alerts can more reliably tell when an alert no longer reflects a valid vulnerability, reducing time spent investigating or acting on alerts that were withdrawn.
Who should care
Software developers, DevSecOps and security teams, and engineering managers who use GitHub Dependabot for dependency vulnerability alerts.
What you can do
Review your repositories' Dependabot alert workflows and check how withdrawn alerts are currently handled, then adopt the new detection changes in your triage process.
