GitHub secret scanning adds SpaceX as partner and upgrades several detectors
GitHub's changelog announced that SpaceX is now a secret scanning partner and that a new detector for starlink_public_api_v2_secret has been added. Several existing detectors, including Alibaba, AWS, Google, OpenVSX and Pydantic Services, were also upgraded.
Why it matters
Expanded detector coverage means more leaked credentials from supported providers can be flagged automatically in repositories, reducing the window in which exposed secrets remain usable.
