MAI-Image-2.6 and MAI-Image-2.6-Flash now available on Vercel AI Gateway
Microsoft's MAI-Image-2.6 and MAI-Image-2.6-Flash image models are now available through Vercel AI Gateway. Developers can generate images from text or edit existing images using one API key without a separate provider account, via the AI SDK or AI CLI.
Why it matters
Builders can add Microsoft image generation and editing to apps through Vercel AI Gateway without setting up a separate Microsoft provider account. Both models support text rendering and targeted edits to products, portraits, and layouts, with up to five reference images and output up to 1536 × 1536.
