Vercel launches Vercel Schedules in public beta for dynamic one-time and recurring jobs
Vercel announced Vercel Schedules, a feature that lets applications and agents create, change, or cancel one-time and recurring scheduled tasks through code without redeploying. Schedules are now in public beta and can be managed via the JS SDK, CLI, or API, with static schedules also configurable in project configuration.

Why it matters
Builders can add scheduling driven by user or agent requests without storing due-time records in a separate database or running a polling cron job. Scheduled tasks can also be tested on Preview deployments and custom environments before production, and cleanup functions run as private functions with caller verification handled by the platform.
Who should care
Developers building AI agents, SaaS applications, and online businesses that run recurring background jobs such as data syncs, backups, or record cleanup on Vercel.
What you can do
Identify one recurring task in your app, such as a daily cleanup or data sync, and define it as a schedule in your project configuration or with the JS SDK, then test it using Run Schedule in the Schedules tab on a Preview branch.
