Layout

A plain lattice. The most predictable place to start.

9 patches. New points take their colour from the nearest old one, so a regrid adds detail instead of starting over.

Color space

Perceptually even and stays vivid between points. The default for a reason.

Gamut

Pull chroma in until the color fits. Nothing clips, hues hold.

Shuffle only touches unlocked colors, which is the difference between exploring and starting again. Pull one out of an image.

Click a point on the canvas to edit it. Its four tangent handles appear with it, and dragging one bends the edges leaving that point.
