ElevenLabs introduces Cue, a forced alignment model for word-level timestamps
ElevenLabs published a blog post introducing Cue, its forced alignment model. According to the post, Cue produces character-level timestamps, handles recordings of any length, and aligns one hour of audio in under a second.

Why it matters
Forced alignment maps a known transcript to exact timestamps in audio, which is needed for subtitles, searchable recordings, and synced captions. A tool that claims fast processing of long recordings could reduce the cost and time of building these features.
Who should care
Video creators, podcasters, ecommerce brands producing video content, developers building transcription or captioning features
What you can do
Test Cue on a sample recording with an existing transcript and compare its timestamp accuracy and processing time against your current captioning pipeline.
