Liquid AI's d1-ultra now available on Vercel AI Gateway
Vercel announced that Liquid AI's d1-ultra, a multimodal decision model for classification, routing, and scoring across text and images, is now available on AI Gateway under the model name liquid/d1-ultra. The model returns structured answers with probabilities (Boolean, Choice, and Score question types) rather than generated text, supports a 32,768-token context window, and is billed on input tokens only, including image input.

Why it matters
Builders can use probability-scored decisions, such as yes/no checks or category selection, to decide when to automate an action versus route it to human review. Billing is on input tokens only with no output-token charges, and AI Gateway reports no markup or platform fee on inference, which affects cost planning for high-volume classification or image checks.
Who should care
Ecommerce brands, marketplaces, insurance and claims teams, manufacturing quality teams, and developers building moderation, routing, or image-verification workflows.
What you can do
Send a Boolean or Choice question about a sample of your own text or image inputs to liquid/d1-ultra through AI Gateway, then compare the returned probabilities against human labels to set an automation threshold.
