OrioleDB public beta: Postgres storage engine for update-heavy tables
Supabase announced that OrioleDB, an open-source storage engine for Postgres, is in public beta on every Supabase plan. The announcement is published on Supabase's own blog and is intended for update-heavy tables.

Why it matters
Builders running Postgres-backed apps with frequently updated tables can now test an alternative storage engine on Supabase without a separate setup. Performance characteristics for a given workload still need to be measured.
Who should care
Supabase users, backend engineers, and teams with update-heavy Postgres workloads
What you can do
Create a test project on a Supabase plan, enable OrioleDB on a staging copy of an update-heavy table, and benchmark it against the default storage engine.
