Python on Vercel is now generally available
Vercel announced general availability of Python on Vercel, which supports FastAPI, Flask, Django, and FastHTML with automatic framework detection, builds on Fluid compute, and provides Python SDKs for storage, queues, durable workflows, and AI models. The announcement also covers Vercel Services for running a Python backend and frontend in one project and Vercel Daemons for long-running Python workers.

Why it matters
Python backends can be deployed on Vercel alongside frontends with a shared local dev, preview, and production workflow, and Python SDKs cover common backend needs like file storage, messaging, workflows, and AI model calls.
Who should care
Python backend developers, full-stack teams using Next.js or Vite frontends, builders of AI-assisted web apps
What you can do
Deploy an existing FastAPI or Flask project to Vercel using the framework guides, or clone the published notebook application on GitHub as a starting point.
