Vercel adds vercel.toml support for project configuration
Vercel announced that projects can now be configured with a vercel.toml file using TOML format. It supports the same configuration properties as vercel.json, adds comment support, and uses a flatter structure; projects should use only one of vercel.toml, vercel.json, or vercel.ts.

Why it matters
Builders deploying on Vercel gain an alternative configuration format that supports comments and a flatter layout than vercel.json. Using more than one config file type in a project is not supported, so existing setups may need to be consolidated when switching formats.
Who should care
Developers and teams deploying web projects on Vercel, especially those maintaining vercel.json configs
What you can do
Review the Vercel documentation on vercel.toml and, if you want commented configuration, migrate your existing vercel.json to vercel.toml while keeping only one config file in the project.
