Vercel Agent sessions now cost 67% less on average
Vercel announced that Vercel Agent sessions in the dashboard and Slack now cost 67% less on average. The reduction comes from a rebuilt context management system that uses fewer tokens per session and improves prompt-cache reuse, and no user action is required.

Why it matters
Lower per-session cost reduces the expense of running Vercel Agent for debugging, code changes, and Slack-based workflows. Paid sessions are billed at the model provider's inference rates plus a Vercel Agent fee of $0.25 per million tokens, so builders using Agent should check their usage and costs in the dashboard to see the effect on their spend.
Who should care
Developers and small teams using Vercel and Vercel Agent, agencies running Agent in Slack, and ecommerce or SaaS builders who rely on Vercel for hosting and deployments.
What you can do
Open the Agent section of your Vercel dashboard, review the current billing rates and recent session usage, and compare costs against your previous spend.
