Vercel Daemons enters public beta
Vercel announced that Vercel Daemons is now in public beta. Daemons let users run long-running containerized processes that pull and execute work from queues, databases, or third-party systems without an HTTP server, and Vercel builds, deploys, and restarts the instances.

Why it matters
Builders can run background workers such as Celery consumers, Temporal workers, or CI runners alongside their Vercel app in the same project, instead of hosting them on separate infrastructure. Instances are configured per region and restarted automatically if they exit or crash, and CPU and memory metrics require Observability Plus.
Who should care
Developers running background job workers, queue consumers, or long-polling workflow systems on Vercel; teams hosting self-hosted CI runners.
What you can do
Package an existing worker in a Dockerfile or Containerfile, add a daemon entry to the project configuration file at the root, set connection variables in production environment variables, and deploy to production.
